Measurement and size instruction
If you are unable to get measured professionally, please follow these guidelines using a soft measuring tape.
Make sure to keep the tape snug but not tight when measuring. Also, make sure to always measure over your
undergarments for the most accurate fit.
After you have completed your measurements, refer to the size chart below and decide which size you fit into best.
Keep in mind that your usual dress size may vary from the size you choose at Aaliyah Collection.
If your measurements fall in between two sizes, we strongly recommend selecting the larger size.
It is always easier to take a garment in than letting it out when doing alterations. Please remember that we do not
provide alteration services. Our size charts reflect body measurements, not garment measurements.
The dresses are made-to-order using standard industry sizes; they are not custom-made to your specific size.
However, if you need alterations, they must be adjusted after you receive your dress by a seamstress or tailor of your choice.
We are not responsible for any alterations made after you receive the garment from us.
If you have any questions, please contact us in and we’ll be happy to assist you
in any way we can.
Bust: Measure around the bust and back at the fullest part of your bust.
Waist: Measure around your natural waist (the narrowest part of your waist, not where your pants sit).
Do not suck in! If you plan on losing weight we still recommend ordering the size you are falling into currently,
the dresses can always be taken in.
Hip: Measure 8” down from your natural waist, at the fullest part of your hip.
